Pig farm disinfection procedures and methods

Disinfection is the key to the prevention and control of diseases on the breeding farms, and it is related to survival and death. The disinfecting pool is built on the door of the breeding pig farm. The vehicles entering and exiting the field must pass through the disinfection tank. Put 2% caustic soda solution in the pool and replace it once a week to maintain the effectiveness of the disinfectant in the pool. Before the keeper or veterinarian enters the farm, they must wash their hands in the guard room and wash them with soap or 0.1% benzalkonium chloride solution. Special shoes are required to enter the farm, and utensils must be sprayed and disinfected before entering the farm. Pighouses inside and outside, pig farm roads are regularly disinfected weekly. House pigs are sterilized with disinfectants harmless to humans and animals, such as 100 toxins or 0.2% peracetic acid solution; sports fields and on-site roads can be disinfected with 2% caustic soda solution. Before disinfection, it must be thoroughly cleaned and rinsed. After disinfecting with caustic soda solution, it must also be thoroughly washed to remove the disinfectant so as not to corrode the skin and utensils. The sows need to be scrubbed and disinfected with a 0.1% potassium permanganate solution before delivery, and then sent to the disinfected delivery room for labor. When pigs are introduced from off-site, they must be kept in the isolation house for 1 week before entering the farm. When entering the site, they still need to be disinfected with pigs with harmless disinfectants such as 100 toxin or 0.1% to 0.2% peracetic acid solution. In addition to special circumstances, the breeding farms generally decline visitors. All visitors must be sterilized according to the regulations before entering the venue. If special clothing, shoes and hats are to be replaced, the hands should be washed with disinfectant and sterilized with ultraviolet rays for 15 minutes. After going out, spray disinfection or water disinfection is required on the visiting route or on the whole site.
