5 points required to pay attention to the tensile test of the electronic tensile testing machine

Electronic tensile testing machines are widely used in rubber, plastics, film, textile, fiber, polymer materials, composite materials, packaging tape, paper, wire and cable, safety belts, leather, footwear, tape, polymers, stainless steel (and others). High hardness steel), non-ferrous metals, automotive parts, alloy materials and other non-metallic materials and metal materials for stretching, bending, compression, shearing, tearing, peeling, adhesion, pull-out force, elongation and elongation Rate and other tests. Since the electronic tensile testing machine is so widely used, in addition to the instrument operation precautions provided by the manufacturer, what requirements should we pay attention to when testing the sample? Let's take a look at the requirements of the electronic tensile machine test sample. When performing the tensile test, the sample should pay attention to the following five requirements:

1. The sample to be tested shall be uniform, wide and thick, with a length of 50 mm (2 in) longer than the fixed length. The rated width of the sample shall be no more than 5 (0.20 in) and no more than 25.4 mm (1). Width and thickness The ratio is at least 8. The narrow sample magnifies the strain and crack at the edge of the sample;

2. When cutting the sample, avoid the defects that may cause the sample to break prematurely. The sides of the sample should be parallel, and the edge width should be less than 5% of the length between the two samples;

3. The thickness of the test sample shall be kept constant, and the thickness of the sample shall be less than 0.25 mm (0.010) when the thickness of the sample is less than 10% of the length of the sample. When the material thickness is greater than 0.25 mm (0.010 in) and less than 1.00 mm ( 0.040), the thickness of the sample should be less than 5% of the length of the fixed sample;

4. The suspicious material is an anisotropic material. Two sets of samples should be prepared separately. Its long axis should be parallel and perpendicular to the anisotropy direction;

5. When measuring the elastic stretch coefficient, the length of the sample is 250mm (10). This length is used to influence the clamping results on the test results. When the length is not feasible, the length of the test area can be up to 100mm (inches). Does not affect the test results. However, the 250mm length is still used for arbitration. When testing shorter samples, the test rate should be adjusted so that the strain rate is equal to the standard sample.

I hope that the sharing of the electronic tensile testing machine above Xintianhui will help your experiment.
