Meng Qiang sees from the Internet that someone can increase the shelf life by adding formaldehyde to the water that stores sheep's blood. So he used the same method to release the water in his own cow blood tofu box, and then poured the good formaldehyde into the box and sent it to various sales outlets. In the evening of August 26th the same year, when Meng Qiang sent bovine blood tofu to the vegetable wholesale market, he was seized by the police and the Food and Drug Administration detected formaldehyde components from the blood tofu found.

After hearing the case, the court held that Meng Qiang added the poisonous and harmful non-food materials prohibited by the state during the food sales and storage process, and sold profits, which constituted the crime of selling toxic and harmful foods. In view of the fact that he could confess after the case was filed and he voluntarily pleaded guilty in court, the verdict was made.
