Adding drugs to the feed should be targeted according to the species, age, and growth stage of the livestock and poultry being raised. Younger, older and weaker livestock and poultry should choose drugs with lower sensitivity, lower toxicity, and less use. The drugs added in the compound feed should be selected as antibacterial and anthelmintic drugs that are easily absorbed by the gastrointestinal tract, and drugs such as penicillin that are easily damaged by the digestive juice should not be added.
Identify genuine and fake medicines. To identify the authenticity of the purchase of drugs, no purchase of no trademark, no manufacturer, no approval number and expired drugs. Mildew, spoilage, smelly drugs can't be used either. Do not purchase too much at one time, but buy it now.
Dosage should be accurate. First, it should be determined whether the added drugs are preventive or therapeutic, and the dosage should be determined according to individual differences in livestock and poultry. In general, only half or even 1/4 of the medication can be used for preventive medications. At the same time, for some drugs with obvious drug residue, such as grams of ball powder should be prohibited to prevent future problems.
Pay attention to incompatibility. In general, if you add a drug and you can achieve your goal, do not use two drugs. If the use of two or more drugs should pay attention to incompatibility, such as pepsin can not be used with basic drugs, antibiotic drugs should be cross-used to prevent bacterial resistance.
Drugs should be mixed well. The proportion of the drug in the feed is relatively small, first a small amount of premixed, so that it is fully mixed, to avoid excessive consumption of livestock and poultry caused by poisoning. Feeds containing added drugs should be ready for use.
