A total of 70 batches of samples were collected from the market, covering the common EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer), PVC (polyvinyl chloride), TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) and PU (polyurethane) plastic materials on the market. The content of phthalates and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, and the amount of lead and cadmium dissolved in the hole shoe products were examined. The test found that there were 29 batches of products with higher phthalate content. In terms of materials, 26 batches of samples containing PVC have a high content of 26 phthalates. From the price point of view, the low-grade (below 50 yuan) hole shoes in the phthalate content is significantly higher than the middle and high-end hole shoes. Long-term use of hole shoes with excessive phthalate content may cause phthalate to migrate into the human body, affecting male reproductive ability and development of the male reproductive system, and has potential cancer risk.
To this end, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine has advised consumers to pay attention to the safety risks that phthalate esters may cause when purchasing and using hole shoes.
First, we should try our best to purchase qualified products that are sold by regular channels and regular manufacturers. When purchasing, we must pay attention to check whether there are clear sites, contact information, etc., and avoid buying products without product information, no brand model, and no inspection certificate.
Second, for unreasonable low-priced products, they should be carefully purchased.
