Watermelon Fertilization Technology

In order to improve the yield and quality of watermelons, there is much emphasis on fertilization. The following six points should be noted in production.

One, nitrogen, phosphorus, potash fertilizer, can not be a single application of nitrogen fertilizer. The fertilization of watermelon should be combined with nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium fertilizers. It is not possible to apply nitrogen fertilizer by itself. The single application of large amounts of nitrogen fertilizer makes the plants extremely prone to growth and is not conducive to the development of flowering melons and fruits. For this reason, it is best to use chicken manure, cake fat, human waste, Garbage fertilizer, grass ash and other farmhouse fertilizers are the main products. This way, the nutrients are comprehensive and the quality is good.

Second, do not apply chlorine fertilizer. Watermelon is a bogey crop, the application of fertilizers should use urea, ammonium sulfate, potassium sulfate, etc., should not use ammonium chloride, potassium chloride and other chlorinated fertilizers, containing chlorinated fertilizer will affect the accumulation of sugar.

Third, do not apply concentrated fertilizer during drought. When the weather is dry and the soil moisture content is low, applying fertilizer at this time will make the cytoplasmic solution of the root cells penetrate outwards, resulting in physiological water shortage and death of plants. For this reason, the application of high-concentration liquid fertilizer must be preceded by watering or irrigation to make the soil Wet before applying fertilizer.

Fourth, fertilization should not be done on rainy days. Overcast and rainy days, the air temperature is high, the soil moisture content is high, and the ability to absorb fertilizer and keep fertilizer is poor. At this time fertilization, fertilizer is not only easy to lose, but also caused by vine leaves long, tender and tender leaves tend to induce pests and diseases.

Fifth, can not be fertilized in the topsoil. Pay attention to deep application of watermelon dressing, timely covering after application, especially nitrogen fertilizer, if the table is applied, nitrogen is easily volatilized to produce ammonia gas, harm the leaves, and reduce fertilizer efficiency. And it will burn roots, so fertilize deep into the hole and then cover the soil to prevent loss of fertilizer.

6. Do not apply water immediately after applying urea. The nitrogen contained in urea is present in the form of amides. The amides are absorbed by the roots of watermelons after they have been converted to ammonium carbonate or ammonium bicarbonate. It takes 3-5 days to convert, and urea should be used as base fertilizer or top dressing. Only after it is converted can it be filled with water. As long as we pay attention to the above six points, the melon farmers can get good benefits.

Mottled Waxy Corn

How should I eat maize every day? We need to control the amount of corn, according to the dietary guidelines, the amount of staple food we use in our lives should be controlled at 250 grams to 400 grams, and the ratio of coarse to fine grains is one to three or one to four, which simply means that about 130 grams of corn can be used every day, in addition to the appropriate reduction in the intake of staple food, let's say half a bowl of rice or a steamed bun, so as to avoid excessive calorie intake in our bodies.

It is also important to note that when eating corn, it is advisable to eat the whole cob together to better control our blood sugar. If corn is processed into corn juice or cornmeal food, the nutrients inside are often lost and what remains is basically sugar, which is often higher on the glycemic index and more likely to lead to a rise in blood sugar, for example, the glycemic index of ordinary corn is only 55, but with foods such as cornmeal, the glycemic index often reaches 68, so it is important to eat the right corn.
